A Check valve is a gas safety device most commonly used in oxy-fuel welding and cutting. It is a one-way device that prevents the reverse flow of gas and will automatically close to stop backflow, this prevents gases from mixing and entering the supply lines, crucial for safety and preventing potential explosions or fires.
NOTE: This does not stop a flame from traveling back through the system, for this you need a flashback arrestor, ideally both used together for complete safety. (We sell the flashback arrestor in our store).
